Note that your patient is not required to disclose her medical condition (other than pregnancy, childbirth, or lactation) to receive an accommodation under California law.
It is recommended that your patient disclose her pregnancy to her employer to increase the likelihood that she will receive the accommodation she needs. Patients with privacy concerns about disclosing their pregnancy at this time should understand that they are more likely to receive an accommodation if they so disclose.
